1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Contre L'oubli ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of the App

The App is a personal journaling application that allows you to record journal entries, mark quotes, record moods, and optionally generate AI reflections. The App also optionally integrates with third-party services, including the Anthropic API and the Oura Cloud API.

3. Third-Party Services

The App's optional features rely on third-party services:

• The AI reflection feature requires your own Anthropic API key and is subject to Anthropic's terms and pricing.
• The Oura Ring integration requires an Oura account and an active Oura membership, and is subject to Oura's terms.

You are responsible for any costs incurred through your use of these third-party services, including Anthropic API usage fees.

4. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and authentication credentials.
• You are responsible for the content of your journal entries.
• You agree to use the App in compliance with applicable laws.

5. AI-Generated Content

AI reflections are generated by a third-party language model and are provided for personal reflection only. They are not professional advice of any kind, including medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. The developer makes no warranty as to the accuracy, usefulness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.

6. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App.

8. Changes to the App and Terms

The developer may modify or discontinue the App, and may update these Terms, at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
