Épigraphe collects nothing. There is not a single line of networking code in the app, and the words you save never leave your device.
The app collects no personal information. There is no account, and no advertising, analytics or tracking of any kind. It uses no third-party libraries.
The quotations you save, along with names, sources, decks, favorites and your settings, are stored only on your device. They are kept in an App Group container, a shared area on the device itself, so that the widgets and the share extension can read the same data. That container does not leave the device either.
When you save a card image to Photos, the app asks for add-only access to your photo library. That permission allows it to write one image and nothing else; it cannot read the photos you already have. If you never use the feature, the permission is never requested.
All notifications are local: composed and delivered on your device, with no server involved. You can change notification permission at any time in your device settings.
Exporting (as JSON) and sharing (as text or an image) happen only when you ask for them. Once a file or a passage leaves the app, it is handled by whichever app or service you chose to send it to. Épigraphe does not choose that destination.
No data is shared with third parties. The developer has no way of seeing what you have saved.
Because the app collects no personal information, it raises no particular concerns regarding children's privacy.
